Saved Dhan credentials are encrypted on your own disk and used to authenticate broker requests. Requests connect directly by default; an optional configured IP relay can carry them to the broker.

Since 1 April 2026 brokers accept API orders only from a registered IP. QuantumCat shows you the address to register with Dhan and warns you if it drifts.
